Ogilvy wins special “Achivement Award for best campaign in advertising and printed media in recent years”

On the 3rd of May, the international jury of Hipnózis Festival awarded three of our four shortlisted works. Our campaign for Modern Alarm, “Break-In”, got a silver in print and a bronze in direct mail, while our new online film for UPC Business was awarded a silver. Our joint effort with Ogilvy Ukraine, the ‘”German style” campaign for Commerzbank, received a special prize. See the full list of winners here!

Ogilvy announced as Hungary’s creative agency of the year

We are delighted to announce the official release of the M-Lista, Hungary’s annual creative league table constructed of points from 16 local and international advertising festivals including Cannes Lions, Eurobest, D&AD, Effie, One Show, Golden Drum and many more.

Ogilvy tops the ranking with almost a 1000 point advantage over the second placed agency. This represents a great milestone of recognition for our ongoing commitment to produce fresh ideas for our clients’ brands on a global standard.

UPC Business chose Ogilvy as their creative agency. Ogilvy will now be responsible for all strategic and creative integrated communications for the telecom company’s business division. We’re delighted to have won a pitch that was decided based on the contenders’ creativity.

A recent execution from our multi-award winning “German Style” campaign for Commerzbank has received recognition from the industry’s most influential publication for press & poster advertising. Lürzer’s Archive, once branded “the world’s most stolen magazine” has been a mainstay for advertising agency coffee tables since 1984.

BuSho Film Festival

Ogilvy Hungary is supporting the Budapest Short Film festival „BuSho’ with a series of film and print advertising.
In order to promote the festival we imagine what popular films might be like if they were also short. And we really meant it.

The festival was established in 2004 by a group of young Hungarian filmmakers in order to fill a gap in the category of short film, but during the years it became clear that it was about much more. The festival became an international breakthrough in an exceptionally short period of time: we got 620 individual entries from 61 countries in 2008. Nearby the competition and informational program we have plenty of festival screenings, selections of film universities, feature films, film-, and all-art workshops in the program.

The campaign consists of 2 videos, and 3 print ads which are used for the 2012 festival.

Two of Ogilvy’s creative directors are on „the world’s largest creative director ranking”

Will Rust is ranked the 15th and Benesch Ferenc the 29th on the PIAFYS. This years list consist of just 300 creative directors. Will made it up several hundred places (which puts him 13 places after David Droga but 11 places before Dan Wieden) and Feri is new to this list.

PIAFYS, part of the Prague International Advertising Festival (PIAF) claims to have the most complete international ranking of creative directors which reflects their achievements at some of the world’s top advertising festivals. Festivals are divided into three categories, and each award has its own rating. PIAFYS is based solely on the publicly available information sources. The results of the following festivals were indicated in the ranking: Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, Loerie, D&AD, ADC Europe, Red Apple, Kiev International Advertising Festival, Golden Hammer, and Golden Drum.
